KiaGO Road Trip: Shygys — Discovering East Kazakhstan in a New Way

From July 22 to 27, the eighth KiaGO: Discovering Kazakhstan! road trip took place. A group of bloggers and influencers rediscovered the stunning landscapes and landmarks of East Kazakhstan, covering an exciting route in Kia vehicles.

The Sibin Lakes, Cape Shekelmes on Lake Zaisan, the Kiin-Kerish canyon, Lake Markakol, Katon-Karagay National Park… All these breathtaking and atmospheric places were visited in just four days, with participants driving nearly 1,800 km across the East Kazakhstan region.

The road trip, organized by Kia’s official distributor in Kazakhstan — Allur MotorQazaqstan, part of the Allur automotive company — aimed to promote domestic car tourism, showcase unique destinations, and foster a culture of internal travel. The mission is to enable more Kazakhstanis to admire their country’s unmatched beauty from new perspectives, while encouraging respect for nature.

The route, starting and finishing in Ust-Kamenogorsk, included various road conditions — from decent asphalt to broken pavement and rocky tracks — allowing participants to fully test Kia vehicles and experience the character of each model. The convoy of nine cars featured the Seltos, Sportage, and Sorento crossovers, as well as the new K8 business sedan, once again proving that a true off-roader isn’t required for car tourism in Kazakhstan.

As the organizers highlighted, such trips help make discoveries, break new ground, and simply enjoy nature while escaping the hustle of city life. This is the very movement that inspires — Movement that inspires.
